Watch Out Now!

Miss Sixty, the colorful, in-your-face-sexy Italian fashion brand is adding watches to its line, according to WWD magazine.

"This idea started seasons ago," said Mario Pace, Miss Sixty global marketing director. "We've been stretching the brand in a number of categories — fragrance, jewelry, handbags — we're building a galaxy around Miss Sixty more and more, and this category was missing."

The collection has six styles with such features as leather straps, Swarovski crystals, and racing stripes, no doubt delivering the same innovative edginess we've seen in their flirty denim and knits. Available in September in all Miss Sixty stores and select jewelry retailers, the watches will retail from $100 to $170. And don't expect this to be the last expansion in the Miss Sixty line - we could be seeing anything from cosmetics to cell phones from the fashion label. Stay tuned senoritas...

Here's a sneak peak at two of the Miss Sixty watch styles:

The Girl With the FAT Lashes!

I may have a mildly obsessive infatuation with mascara... Okay I definitely have a mildly obsessive infatuation with mascara... Okay fine - I am absolutely, 100% obsessed with mascara and there is nothing mild about it! I just can't get enough of the stuff and I'm completely willing to pay a high price to get my glamour fix. My recent favorites have been from Lancome and Prescriptives - both made my lashes devastatingly long and curled. But then a friend (thanks Denice) let me in on one of her beauty secrets: "If you like the good stuff, try Voluminous by L'Oreal," she advised. So, while perusing the aisles of the drugstore the other day I picked up a tube of Blackest Black to test drive...

Wowzers!!! I have gotten more compliments on my lashes than I can keep track of! Yesterday a girlfriend even asked if I was wearing (gasp) falsies! My lashes are seriously fat! Gorgeously fat! I only paid $8 for seriously, gorgeously fat lashes! My, ahem, obsession just grew exponentially!

Jimmy Who?

So I spotted these Jimmy Choo flats in the latest issue of Bazaar magazine, and besides thinking how adorable they would look with a little trapeze minidress I have hanging in my closet, I had a slight feeling of deja vu...
Had I seen these flats before? Where had I seen them? On a co-worker? On the street? No! They were on page 25 of the same magazine and they weren't Jimmy Choo - they were Nine West!

Nine West Dottie Flat

These flats are about as close as you can get to the Choos! And at $69 they're well within my budget - the Jimmys are around $440! Being frugal can be so fabulous!

Cavalli for the Masses: Roberto Cavalli + H&M

Soon regular (but fabulous) girls like us will be able to rock the red carpet-worthy looks of Roberto Cavalli, when the adored fashion guru designs a one-off women's and men's collection for Swedish retailer H&M. The collection will be sold in 200 H&M stores beginning November 8, 2007. Imagine...designer duds at insanely cheap prices! Is your heart racing too? I'm kvelling!

Cavalli, who is best known for his use of animal prints and outrageously sexy dresses, has dressed everyone from Jennifer Lopez to Sheryl Crow. Here's a look at what the famed designer offered in his eponymous line for Fall '07 - let's hope the H&M collection is as gorgeous.

Amazing Grace

While most people are probably rejoicing over the gorgeously warm weather, perhaps refreshing themselves with a frosty sangria or dipping into cool swimming pools to escape the heat, I can't help but think about the impending, brisk autumn weather and, more importantly, the fabulous clothes that only come around this nippy time of year. Among my favorites for Fall '07 is Grace Sun.
An amalgam of sweet, ladylike details, retro shapes, luxurious fabrics, and a sumptuously rich color palette, Grace Sun's Fall '07 collection is only the second from the designer and it's as inspiring as her Spring '07 collection (remember her beautiful bow dress?). The Scout Dress (bottom row, center) offers the same bold stripes and billowy shoulders we loved in the 80's while the Wide-leg Jumpsuit (top row, right) is reminiscent of the sexy glamour that marked the 70's. Besides the obvious nods to decades gone by, the collection also features many of the most favored details of the current season like dresses with pockets, wearable, layered pieces, and of course, the sweet, sunny color yellow. Delicious! (Almost as delicious as that sangria!)

Fetish Makes a Comeback

Fetish Distressed Leather Trench

Eve is back and she's bringing her fetish for fashion with her. The rapper-turned-television star plans to re-launch her Fetish clothing line, this time with a new look and a new partner. The apparel brand was originally launched in 2003, but after switching partners (twice) the label was shelved indefinitely. Now the hip-hop diva has partnered with Signature Apparel and intends to show us designs that are more modern and fashionable with higher quality fabrics. Expect to see a woman's contemporary collection with leather jackets and pants, high-waisted denim pants and skirts, comfy oversized sweaters, and a handful of logo tees thrown in for good measure. The brand will re-launch sometime in the fall, right around the time both Sienna Miller and Paris Hilton plan to kick off their own fashion brands. Bring it, Eve!

Cabana Girl

"I find that it is vital to have at least one handbag for each of the the ten types of social occasion: Very Formal, Not So Formal, Just a Teensy Bit Formal, Informal but Not That Informal, Every Day, Every Other Day, Day Travel, Night Travel, Theater, and Fling." - Miss Piggy
Could it be she's seen this Morgan Oakley Leather Cabana Clutch? It's perfect for just about any occasion. With its soft, butter leather and shiny, solid brass hardware this clutch is sophisticated enough for an evening out, yet sleek enough for a power lunch with a new publisher. And the topstitching on the flap is such an unexpectedly sweet addition, no? It may be a small splurge at $195, but it really is a gorgeous clutch and worth every penny. Piggy would approve.

Good Housekeeping

If you're anything like me, cleaning house is probably not on the top of your "Favorite Things to Do" list (actually, if you're anything like me it's probably not on your list at all!). Sure it's a priority that must be done and done regularly, but it can't be described as stylish or fun, right? Well, take a look at these common household items from the Home Chic Home Collection by Two's Company - they just might change the way you think about cleaning.

Dish Brush in Black, White, and Blue Damask Patter, $8.99

Drawstring Garbage Bags in Black, White, and Blue Damask, $9.99

Ostrich Feather Duster in Black, White, and Blue Damask, $13.99

Have you ever seen anything like it?! Okay, this is what's happening to me right now: my practical side is saying to me, "Cleaning is not supposed to be stylish, it's supposed to be CLEAN!" but the girly, I-just-love-pretty-things side of me is screaming, "Omigosh!! Look how pretty! Buy them!" I know in the end my practical side will win and I won't buy all of them...maybe just the dish brush. Every girl needs a good dish brush, right?

P.S. There's also packing tape and storage bags - equally adorable! Seriously, Two's Company deserves some kind of award or something, dontcha think?

Fetherston for Target

Word is Target has got their eye on Erin Fetherston to be the next guest designer for their Go International campaign. No details are confirmed yet but a collection from Fetherston could hit Target stores as early as fall.

Past Go International for Target designers have included Behnaz Sarafpour, Alice Temperley, and Patrick Robinson. High fashion on the cheap - God Bless you, Target!

Fetherston's Fall 2007 Ready-to-Wear collection was ethereal and sweet, a stark contrast to the chunky knits and warm layers from some other collections. Here are a few pics:

So what do you think? Do you love it as much as I do?
