In the Trenches

Happy Friday sweethearts!! And if that salutation doesn't brighten your day, maybe my current obsession will do the trick!

Okay, so you already know how I looove Voom, and I didn't think it was possible to love the label any more than I already do but this little number makes my heart skip a beat! And it comes in red!
Those cap sleeves are just darling, no? And I love that it can be worn as a cute little dress or tied loosely as a coat over jeans. A sweet addition for spring - the only problem will be choosing which color!

Home Style

Anthropologie, with their gorgeous dresses strategically "strewn" atop vintage-looking armoires and sweet-smelling candles placed throughout, is a haven of prettyness for girly girls like myself. I simply adore the dainty little teacups with matching saucers, ultra-feminine cardigans and tunics, and beautifully constructed handbags - the very darlingness of which make me long for more closet space and a bigger apartment. And if I were to somehow acquire said apartment, I would peruse the first-ever Anthropologie Home catalog for goodies like these...

Could that Astrid Chair be any more fabulous? And I can just see myself hanging my vintage dresses in the Primrose Armoire, but only after switching out the knobs with that sweet little Birdwatcher Knob - divine!

Give Me Samora

One of my favorite labels is Samora, and her Fall 2007 Collection at Mercedes Benz Fashion Week in L.A. did not disappoint. It was just the right mix of sweet and girly with sophisticated and chic. Her brilliant use of texture showed up in every gorgeous piece, and the sensual colors made the silhouettes even sexier. I absolutely fell in love with the puff-sleeves and shapely skirts and trousers.

I'm just dying for the return of brisk autumn mornings so I can don one of these lovely frocks with a sexy peeptoe pump and gloves - so ladylike, no?

I'm Bringin' Sexyback

Am sooo lovin' the sexy, backless blouse from Alvin Valley (see post below), that I've been searching for more of this delicious dish! Look what I found on Shopbop.com...

Alisha Levine has created some of the yummiest, to-die-for, backless tops I could find. Don't you just ADORE?!!

Valley Girls

Sweet ruffles, striking metallics, chic berets, and of-the-moment silhouettes littered the runway in the Alvin Valley Fall 2007 Collection at Mercedes Benz Fashion Week in L.A. The looks were ladylike and wearable, and included sheer blouses with pintucks, wide-leg trousers, swing coats, and fluid dresses. Among my favorites was a backless, silk blouse in eye-catching yellow.

Circus! Circus!

It was anything goes at the Ed Hardy Fall 2007 runway show at Mercedes Benz Fashion Week in Los Angeles. Designer (and ringleader) Christian Audigier, who shows his eponymous line tonight, sent models down a bubblegum pink runway in his signature, tattoo-like graphics and electrifying colors, along with unexpected extras like painted-on mustaches, pink puppies, devil horns, and top hats, to name a few.

Oh Joy! - Voom by Joy Han

"As a designer I feel the need to create pieces that make a woman feel young, beautiful, and confident." - Joy Han

Fashion designer Joy Han showed off her groovy Fall 2007 Voom Collection at Mercedes Benz Fashion Week at Smashbox Studios in Culver City. The pieces were easy and fluid with mod-inspired shapes, and came in a kaleidoscope of colors, vibrant prints, and eye-popping plaids. Feminine touches like ruffled necklines and puffed sleeves mixed effortless with masculine pinstripes, while leather and silk merged to create a tough'n'sweet look. I just adored this flirty babydoll and puff-sleeved turtleneck.

Supersize Me

Am simply adoring the oversized Bedford Satchel from Banana Republic! The chocolate brown leather, polished nickel hardware, and side pockets... tres chic, no? And super huge, oversized bags are so of-the-moment!
The cost is $248... What do you think - worth it, or should I try to find something for a little less?

Happy Feet - Springtime Boots

I'm a believer in the unconventional (my rule for fashion is that there are no rules) so I've been shopping around for the perfect boots to wear this spring with my flirtiest little dresses. Spotted these gorgeous white kicks from Scorah Pattullo on Asos.com, one of my most favorite sites, but nearly fainted when I saw the $622 price tag!

Then I saw these babies on the same website...so sweet and with a much more forgiving price of $97. Don't you just LOVE?!

Look for me this spring - I'll be the girl dancing around in the fab boots!
