Spring is Here!

Happy 1st Day of Spring, girls! An article in WWD reported that, despite whatever is happening on Wall Street, there are two things that won't see a slouch in sales this season - printed dresses and colorful trenches. Makes sense to me, so I'm adding these to my wish list:

It's no secret that I'm really feeling green this season! I want to adds tons of pieces to my wardrobe, including this coat with its lovely, loose fit and sweet bow at the neck.
This dress is so utterly girly I can barely contain myself! I love that, instead of the ubiquitous spring floral or butterfly, the print is little fairies.

The cobalt hue of this cropped trench is deeply gorgeous and a bold addition to jeans and tees. Plus it's affordable but looks like its not!

There is nothing I don't love by Voom so this dress caught my eye immediately, natch. I adore that it has little epaulets and buttons on the shoulder.

Point of Hue

Spring will be here faster than you can say "End of Season Sale," and with it comes the requisite florals, ladylike silhouettes, and, this year, colors galore! If you've always been a neutral kind of woman, get ready to change your perspective about vibrant hues, and start dressing en couleur!

Style Goodies has uncovered 24, colorfully cute and affordable (nearly everything is under fifty bucks) pieces you'll be dying to wear this spring! Just click on the images below!

Orange
For an unexpected punch of vibrant color, add orange to Spring's most coveted neutral pieces (think khaki wrap dresses, straw wedges, and wooden jewelry)!

Blue
Blue tops, shoes, and accessories beg to be paired with white jeans and trousers - a crisp color combo that never goes out of style!

Pink
So feminine and flirty, pink is the ultimate girly color! Look for age-appropriate pieces that mix well with jeans and heels to avoid looking overly-precious.

Yellow
Yellow is the carefree color that can add a little sunshine to any look! It's so bright and summery you'll feel energized and uplifted every time you wear it.

Green
Green is so fresh and clean - it embodies everything that spring is! Be bold and mix green dresses and tops with accessories that add a hit of pink, yellow or blue.

Red
Red is a surprising yet perfectly gorgeous color for spring! Mix it with of-the-moment wide-leg jeans or the season's most fetching natural accessories.

Finally - a Less Expensive Sass & Bide!

I can't think of anything more thrilling than when a contemporary label I love (in this case Sass & Bide) launches a lower-priced collection that is as delicious as the original! S&B Vie is the new, denim-driven, lower-priced, still-just-as-fabulous line from Sass & Bide that's coming to a department or specialty store near you next month!

"For the most part, S&B Vie serves as the creative expression of the youthful and jovial side of Sass & Bide," co-founder Sarah-Jane Clarke told WWD magazine.

Already available online at Sass & Bide, S&B Vie is as multifarious as its big sister, with pieces ranging from 80s-inspired, skin tight mini dresses to an utterly girly blouse with puffed sleeves and shirring to an eco-friendly shift made of bamboo, not to mention a complete line of premium denim and tees. Inspiration from Sass & Bide definitely comes through in the S&B Vie collection, but the interpretation is more youthful and quirky, and, thankfully, a little more affordable.

Warm Regards

The Soïa & Kyo website is insanely pretty, with graphics and effects that will absolutely mesmerize you, but it's the coats themselves that make this Canadian-based label a stand out amongst a sea of outerwear peddlers.

For starters, the brand uses only the finest European wools for its peacoats, and a down and feather blend that makes for impossibly lightweight but incredibly warm nylon jackets. Then designers add extras like chic, saucer-sized buttons, wide belts, asymmetrical collars, and fur-lined hoods to the feminine, mod-inspired silhouettes for sexy, not-at-all-bulky winter coats. Best of all, they're pretty enough to pair with so-ladylike pencil skirts and gloves, yet somehow look amazing with jeans and your most rugged Frye boots.
Stay toasty and dry in the super-sleek, super-stylish 'Kelly' nylon jacket or channel your inner vintage vixen with the deliciously retro 'Eliana' coat (pictured). You can shop online at Soiakyo.com or head to Nordstrom.

In the Trenches

Happy Friday sweethearts!! And if that salutation doesn't brighten your day, maybe my current obsession will do the trick!

Okay, so you already know how I looove Voom, and I didn't think it was possible to love the label any more than I already do but this little number makes my heart skip a beat! And it comes in red!
Those cap sleeves are just darling, no? And I love that it can be worn as a cute little dress or tied loosely as a coat over jeans. A sweet addition for spring - the only problem will be choosing which color!
